Applications
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Kaneohe Yacht Club.
Applicants for Kaneohe Yacht Club membership should complete a membership application, including a 3" by 4" picture of yourself and your spouse (or a scan file) and obtain two sponsors. Sponsors must be Senior or Life Members. If you have trouble finding potential sponsors please contact someone on the Membership Committee for help. Once completed, the application should be returned with an Application Fee to the Kaneohe Yacht Club Office. Kaneohe Yacht Club encourages active members of the Armed Forces to join at reduced cost under the Service Member category.
Your signing of the Membership Application and payment of the Application Fee gives Kaneohe Yacht Club written authority to initiate a background check including your employment, credit history, references, and any criminal or legal record.
Once the Membership Committee has accepted the application and background check, the applicant will be interviewed by a member of the Membership Committee. Subsequently the applicant and sponsors will be interviewed by the entire Membership Committee. If your application is approved by the Membership Committee, it will be presented to the Board of Directors of Kaneohe Yacht Club for approval at the next Board meeting.
Upon approval of the Board of Directors of Kaneohe Yacht Club, the Membership Fee is due. If there there is a wait list at that time, 25% of the Membership Fee is due and the balance is due at the time the applicant is accepted into Kaneohe Yacht Club.
The Kaneohe Yacht Club exists and thrives on membership participation. You are strongly encouraged to volunteer and participate actively on one of the several committees and/or fleets.
