Bulkhead Races



This is a fun race yet competative race.  Bulkhead races are open to all boats.  These races are scheduled every Thursday evening at 18:00 from March through September.

Come early, stern-to the Bulkhead, collect your crew and get your starting time.  There are 3 racing classes, and start times are adjusted.

All KYC Bulkhead races start at KYC, race in the area between the yacht club and Moku o loe Island (Coconut Island).  The races vary in length to allow boats to finish within 1-2 hours or before sunset.  The club monitors the VHF radio during the event and there are numerous club members at the club with power boats should a boat be come disabled.  This series is a casual series but the most attended event at the Club.

Friday Night El Toro Races


The Friday Night El Toro races reflect a series of 2-3 short races around the coral patch and back.  Typically about 15 minutes a race.  This is a fun race. The period from early April to late September, represents about 26 races.
